Pieter van der Hoeven and Bram Fokke founded Clocktimizer together in 2014. Since then we’ve grown our team to include programmers, designers and a whole host of other important jobs. We have worked hard to create a dynamic, creative group of people. So we want to make sure you know who they are too. This series of blogs will cover the amazing people who work here. We’ll be releasing new blogs as the team grows so keep an eye out and find more about the people behind Clocktimizer.
Frances Singleton-Clift – Head of Content
If you’ve read anything about Clocktimizer, then you’re already well acquainted with the work of Clocktimizer’s Head of Content, Frances. In fact, she’s writing this blog about herself as we speak. It’s all very meta. Frances has been part of Clocktimizer since 2017, and previously worked at HiiL, where she developed a longstanding obsession with legal tech. As a result, Frances writes the vast majority of the blogs, videos and interviews we produce here at Clocktimizer. So, if you need a question about legal tech answered, she’s the woman to go and see.
Frances’ path to the world of legal tech was not entirely traditional. Having studied law at Oxford, she avoided a life practicing law last minute (mumbling something about a work/life balance). She has the deepest respect for everyone who manages to survive the hours of a London lawyer. Having worked in a number of financial institutions, she moved to the Netherlands, and has been focusing on legal tech ever since. Her proudest achievement as an honourary Dutch person has been the ability to pronounce the word ‘Scheveningen’ flawlessly. Her cycling, however, remains astoundingly ill-coordinated to this day.
