- About Clocktimizer

Pieter van der Hoeven and Bram Fokke founded Clocktimizer together in 2014. Since then we’ve grown our team to include programmers, designers and a whole host of other important jobs. We have worked hard to create a dynamic, creative group of people. So we want to make sure you know who they are too. This series of blogs will cover the amazing people who work here. We’ll be releasing new blogs as the team grows so keep an eye out and find more about the people behind Clocktimizer.

Bjorn Hermans – Front-end Developer

His accent is distinctly southern, his name is Swedish, his car is French, and when it comes to the good life he is definitely a ‘Burgundian’. So it should be no surprise that Björn has graduated in Language Studies. After that, he moved on to programming languages, and started an IT career, spanning a number of different companies, including bol.com. At Clocktimizer, his domain is the Front-End, where he makes sure everything functions, looks, and feels very smooth and ‘Vuetiful’.

When he’s not working at Clocktimizer, Björn likes to teach & play improvisational theatre (or ‘Improv’ for short). He particularly enjoys improvised singing, coming up with unique improv games to try out, and playing the big bad villain. Because lets face it – they always get the best lines. He also likes to play board games a lot, and currently owns about 150 (the only limit thus far is the amount of shelf space available to him!) Bjorn’s greatest pleasure is watching sleeping cats, as they always commit to it 100%. And seeing them all curled up, possibly with one or two paws beneath their tiny chin, makes them look too cute for words. As such, Bjorn gets our award for the most kind-hearted of the whole office.
