Pieter van der Hoeven and Bram Fokke founded Clocktimizer together in 2014. Since then we’ve grown our team to include programmers, designers and a whole host of other important jobs. We have worked hard to create a dynamic, creative group of people. So we want to make sure you know who they are too. This series of blogs will cover the amazing people who work here. Head of Marketing – Sander Niers
We pride ourselves in not only being a company that provides tech solutions, but also in being made up of people who love tech themselves. Which should go a long way to explaining why we have welcomed Sander as our new Head of Marketing. Sander is a marketing tech whiz kid, and we look forward to him bringing our online presence into the 21st century! Like many of our lovely staff, Sander didn’t always work in his current field. Having started out studying to become a history teacher, he moved into a more commercial environment working in business development for an IT publisher. Clearly, working in IT sparked an interest as Sander went on to work for a number of alternative types of companies within the industry. As a Head of Marketing in his last position, and therefore knowing all the tricks of the trade, we’re really looking forward to learning from him!
When he’s not busy making marketing strategies and joining in the team borrels, Sander keeps himself busy as a member of a band he set up with his school friends. As fine purveyors of punk rock, we’re booking him in for the next summer BBQ! He has also introduced all of us in the office to the joys of history podcasts and some amazing new books. Importantly, for those of you who haven’t yet met Sander, you’ll immediately be able to spot him as he’s by far our tallest team member. Just don’t ask him how the weather is up there…
